This started out as a reply to aussieyank's question in the food diary about my feelings on HGH treatment and the growth study I was in as a kid.  But then it expanded to be a huge rambly mutli-paragraph thing was waaaaay off topic, so I figured I could give it it's own diary.

We are planning to move within the next few months.  DS will be a bit less than two.  He will need to go to a new daycare near the new place, which will be much closer to where DH and I work.  I have no idea how to make this change in a good way.

My son is 16 months old.  He is frequently troubled by teething, by breathing problems, by gas, or by the horrible injustice of not constantly being the center of attention.  But lately he is the king of all whiners.  

Folks have been asking lately about plane travel with the wee ones.  We can't afford that these days, however, so I'm wondering how to best accomplish the car trip thing.  I'm hoping for some advice from folks who have been there.

On a recent thread (I can't remember which one!) folks were discussing stories and images in fiction and news that they can't take, especially now as parents.  I thought it was a fascinating topic.

Kid Sparky's doctor prescribed him antibiotics today for an ear infection we didn't know he had.  In this case, I think it's warranted, since he seems to be getting worse, we're going to be travelling, etc.  But it makes me nervous.  Is it really a good idea to be blasting his brand new immune system like this?
